# Card Merge vs Backgammon Mint

The clearest difference is update cadence: Backgammon Mint at every 2 weeks against Card Merge's every 6 months. Backgammon Mint also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Card Merge sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Backgammon Mint sells 20 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Card Merge ships an update every 6 months, Backgammon Mint every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
