# ShootOnTime vs Paintball Timer

The clearest difference is ratings volume: ShootOnTime at 1.1K against Paintball Timer's 8. Paintball Timer's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for ShootOnTime against 5.0 for Paintball Timer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ShootOnTime has 1.1K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ShootOnTime ships an update weekly, Paintball Timer every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and September 16, 2026 respectively.
