# PokéCardex vs Mintgrid

The clearest difference is ratings volume: PokéCardex at 198 against Mintgrid's 2. PokéCardex also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PokéCardex sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 7 days and Mintgrid sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PokéCardex holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PokéCardex has 198 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PokéCardex ships an update every 10 days, Mintgrid every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
