# HerdLinq vs showNAV

The clearest difference is ads: showNAV at none against HerdLinq's shown. showNAV also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). HerdLinq's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

showNAV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HerdLinq has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HerdLinq ships an update every 8 days, showNAV monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
