# Clifie vs Slideshow Frames

The clearest difference is update cadence: Clifie at every 2 weeks against Slideshow Frames's every 4 months. Clifie also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clifie sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Slideshow Frames sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Clifie ships an update every 2 weeks, Slideshow Frames every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
