# Car Key Connect vs Poolstar

The clearest difference is rating: Car Key Connect at 4.7 against Poolstar's 1.7. Car Key Connect also leads on ratings volume (27K vs 6) and chart position (#84 vs unranked). Poolstar's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ads (none vs shown). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Car Key Connect sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Poolstar asks for nothing beyond the download.

Car Key Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Car Key Connect has 27K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of Car Key Connect's written reviews are positive against 33% of Poolstar's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Car Key Connect ships an update every 9 days, Poolstar every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
