# Buzzing Hexagons vs Hexa Up!

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Buzzing Hexagons at 80% against Hexa Up!'s 30%. Buzzing Hexagons also leads on ads (none vs shown). Hexa Up!'s advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Buzzing Hexagons sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Hexa Up! sells 13 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hexa Up! holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hexa Up! has 13K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Buzzing Hexagons's written reviews are positive against 30% of Hexa Up!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Buzzing Hexagons ships an update every 2 months, Hexa Up! every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
