# MapMx vs GlobalKey

The clearest difference is rating: MapMx at 5.0 against GlobalKey's 4.2. MapMx also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). GlobalKey's advantage is review sentiment (57% vs 31%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GlobalKey sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $50.90 per year. MapMx asks for nothing beyond the download.

MapMx holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 10 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of MapMx's written reviews are positive against 57% of GlobalKey's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MapMx ships an update every 6 weeks, GlobalKey fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
