# MothaPlant vs The Mint

The clearest difference is ratings volume: The Mint at 1.8K against MothaPlant's 27. The Mint also leads on review sentiment (64% vs 50%). MothaPlant's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MothaPlant holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Mint has 1.8K ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of MothaPlant's written reviews are positive against 64% of The Mint's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MothaPlant ships an update every 3 weeks, The Mint fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
