# Untold vs Same

The clearest difference is update cadence: Same at every 3 days against Untold's every 3 weeks. Untold's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (2.3K vs 6). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Untold sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Same sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Untold against 5.0 for Same. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Untold has 2.3K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 94% of Untold's written reviews are positive against 100% of Same's.

Untold ships an update every 3 weeks, Same every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
