# AI Summary vs Note Recorder

AI Summary and Note Recorder both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Note Recorder's written reviews are positive against 51% of AI Summary's. AI Summary's advantage is ratings volume (6.1K vs 7) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 26). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Summary sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Note Recorder sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for AI Summary against 4.3 for Note Recorder. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Summary has 6.1K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 51% of AI Summary's written reviews are positive against 100% of Note Recorder's.

AI Summary ships an update every 3 weeks, Note Recorder fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
