# Catapult Scout vs NEXTUP

The clearest difference is update cadence: NEXTUP at fortnightly against Catapult Scout's every 3 months. NEXTUP also leads on ratings volume (8 vs 1). Catapult Scout's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Catapult Scout against 5.0 for NEXTUP. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NEXTUP has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Catapult Scout ships an update every 3 months, NEXTUP fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
