# Vital vs StepWise

The clearest difference is ads: Vital at none against StepWise's shown. Vital also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). StepWise's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 18 months) and ratings volume (6 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vital sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and StepWise sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Vital holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 6 respectively.

Vital ships an update every 18 months, StepWise every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
