# CNDO vs Backcast

The clearest difference is ads: Backcast at none against CNDO's shown. Backcast also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). CNDO's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (9 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Backcast holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CNDO has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CNDO ships an update every 10 days, Backcast every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
