# Visual Trig Func vs Pythagoras Calculator

The clearest difference is rating: Pythagoras Calculator at 4.6 against Visual Trig Func's 1.0. Pythagoras Calculator also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Visual Trig Func sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pythagoras Calculator sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pythagoras Calculator holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pythagoras Calculator has 242 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of Visual Trig Func's written reviews are positive against 83% of Pythagoras Calculator's.

Visual Trig Func ships an update every 5 months, Pythagoras Calculator every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
