# Laps vs Social Tree

The clearest difference is ads: Social Tree at none against Laps's shown. Laps's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (27 vs 2). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Laps sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Social Tree sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Laps against 5.0 for Social Tree. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Laps has 27 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Laps ships an update every 3 days, Social Tree monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
