# App Lock vs AppLock

The clearest difference is update cadence: AppLock at every 8 days against App Lock's every 3 weeks. App Lock's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 205). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. App Lock sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and AppLock sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

App Lock holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: App Lock has 1.2K ratings behind it against 205, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of App Lock's written reviews are positive against 77% of AppLock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

App Lock ships an update every 3 weeks, AppLock every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
