# RAC vs AVENIR

The clearest difference is update cadence: AVENIR at every 4 weeks against RAC's every 14 months. AVENIR also leads on ratings volume (99 vs 2). RAC's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for RAC against 4.9 for AVENIR. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AVENIR has 99 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

RAC ships an update every 14 months, AVENIR every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
