# PETGS vs TheDermaShop

The clearest difference is ads: PETGS at none against TheDermaShop's shown. PETGS also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (monthly vs every 7 months). TheDermaShop's advantage is ratings volume (14 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PETGS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TheDermaShop has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PETGS ships an update monthly, TheDermaShop every 7 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
