# Dreaming vs Parrot

Dreaming and Parrot both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 88% of Dreaming's written reviews are positive against 46% of Parrot's. Dreaming also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). Parrot's advantage is ratings volume (17K vs 208) and chart position (#75 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dreaming sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Parrot sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Dreaming against 4.7 for Parrot. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Parrot has 17K ratings behind it against 208, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 88% of Dreaming's written reviews are positive against 46% of Parrot's.

Dreaming ships an update every 9 days, Parrot weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
