# Dreaming vs VerbPal

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Dreaming at 208 against VerbPal's 5. Dreaming also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dreaming sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and VerbPal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dreaming holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dreaming has 208 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Dreaming ships an update every 9 days, VerbPal every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
