# Dreaming vs Dialog Engine

The clearest difference is ads: Dreaming at none against Dialog Engine's shown. Dreaming also leads on ratings volume (208 vs 1). Dialog Engine's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dreaming sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Dialog Engine sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dialog Engine holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dreaming has 208 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Dreaming ships an update every 9 days, Dialog Engine fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
