# CamX vs Pro Camera

The clearest difference is ads: CamX at none against Pro Camera's shown. Pro Camera's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CamX sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per year and Pro Camera sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CamX ships an update every 3 weeks, Pro Camera every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
