# Kiwi vs Torn Tools

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Torn Tools at none against Kiwi's 2. Torn Tools also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (67% vs 52%). Kiwi's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (326 vs 5). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kiwi sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Torn Tools asks for nothing beyond the download.

Kiwi holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kiwi has 326 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Kiwi's written reviews are positive against 67% of Torn Tools's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Kiwi ships an update every 8 days, Torn Tools every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
