# VPN proxy vs Simple Pattern

The clearest difference is update cadence: Simple Pattern at weekly against VPN proxy's every 2 months. Simple Pattern also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). VPN proxy's advantage is ratings volume (7.8K vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN proxy sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Simple Pattern sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simple Pattern holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN proxy has 7.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of VPN proxy's written reviews are positive against 100% of Simple Pattern's.

VPN proxy ships an update every 2 months, Simple Pattern weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
