# Air Codes vs BetterCast

Air Codes and BetterCast both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 94% of BetterCast's written reviews are positive against 74% of Air Codes's. Air Codes's advantage is ratings volume (449 vs 34) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 days). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Air Codes sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and BetterCast sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Air Codes against 4.7 for BetterCast. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Air Codes has 449 ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 74% of Air Codes's written reviews are positive against 94% of BetterCast's.

Air Codes ships an update every 2 days, BetterCast every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
