# Temporary Mail vs Temp Mail

The clearest difference is ads: Temporary Mail at none against Temp Mail's shown. Temporary Mail also leads on ratings volume (86 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Temp Mail's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Temporary Mail sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Temp Mail sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Temporary Mail against 4.5 for Temp Mail. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Temporary Mail has 86 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Temporary Mail ships an update every 6 months, Temp Mail fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and September 8, 2026 respectively.
