# sfty vs My Home Controller

The clearest difference is rating: sfty at 4.0 against My Home Controller's 2.8. My Home Controller's advantage is review sentiment (38% vs 0%) and ratings volume (11 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

sfty holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: My Home Controller has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of sfty's written reviews are positive against 38% of My Home Controller's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
