# Rotate vs WidgText

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Rotate at none against WidgText's 1. Rotate also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (22 vs 4). On price, rating, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WidgText sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Rotate asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Rotate against 5.0 for WidgText. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rotate has 22 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Rotate ships an update every 2 weeks, WidgText fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
