# App Lock vs App Blocker

The clearest difference is update cadence: App Blocker at every 3 weeks against App Lock's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. App Lock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and App Blocker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

App Lock ships an update every 2 months, App Blocker every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 6, 2026.
