# Blue Sage vs Loop Passport

The clearest difference is rating: Blue Sage at 4.9 against Loop Passport's 3.6. Blue Sage also leads on ratings volume (1.9K vs 5). Loop Passport's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Blue Sage holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blue Sage has 1.9K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Blue Sage ships an update every 2 months, Loop Passport every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
