# ScreenClub vs ThingsBook

The clearest difference is rating: ScreenClub at 4.9 against ThingsBook's 4.5. ScreenClub also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and device support (3 vs 1). ThingsBook's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 15) and chart position (#49 vs unranked). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ScreenClub holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ThingsBook has 1.8K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of ScreenClub's written reviews are positive against 70% of ThingsBook's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
