# Nutrisystem vs Nutristant

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Nutristant at 100% against Nutrisystem's 5%. Nutristant also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.0). Nutrisystem's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (2.1K vs 3). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nutrisystem sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $69.99 per 6 months and Nutristant sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nutristant holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nutrisystem has 2.1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 5% of Nutrisystem's written reviews are positive against 100% of Nutristant's.

Nutrisystem ships an update every 5 weeks, Nutristant every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
