# Simplus vs Shorta

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Simplus at none against Shorta's 4. Simplus also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Shorta's advantage is ratings volume (48 vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shorta sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Simplus asks for nothing beyond the download.

Simplus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shorta has 48 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Simplus ships an update fortnightly, Shorta weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
