# Retro vs Car Modification

The clearest difference is ads: Car Modification at none against Retro's shown. Retro's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 17.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Retro sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Car Modification sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Retro ships an update every 4 days, Car Modification every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
