# VPN Tunnel Proxy vs VPN Proxy Hotspot

The clearest difference is rating: VPN Proxy Hotspot at 4.8 against VPN Tunnel Proxy's 4.1. VPN Tunnel Proxy's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (99 vs 9). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Tunnel Proxy sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and VPN Proxy Hotspot sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN Proxy Hotspot holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Tunnel Proxy has 99 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VPN Tunnel Proxy ships an update every 5 weeks, VPN Proxy Hotspot every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
