# UGREEN NAS vs VBook Scan

The clearest difference is rating: UGREEN NAS at 4.1 against VBook Scan's 1.7. UGREEN NAS also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ratings volume (327 vs 6). VBook Scan's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 53%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VBook Scan sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. UGREEN NAS asks for nothing beyond the download.

UGREEN NAS holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UGREEN NAS has 327 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of UGREEN NAS's written reviews are positive against 67% of VBook Scan's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UGREEN NAS ships an update every 3 weeks, VBook Scan every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
