Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: MiPlayer at 5.0 against HamHub's 4.6. HamHub's advantage is ratings volume (228 vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. HamHub sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.29 per month and MiPlayer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

MiPlayer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HamHub has 228 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of HamHub's written reviews are positive against 59% of MiPlayer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

HamHub ships an update every 5 days, MiPlayer weekly. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
