# LocVPN vs NaroVPN

The clearest difference is update cadence: NaroVPN at fortnightly against LocVPN's every 27 months. NaroVPN also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LocVPN sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and NaroVPN sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LocVPN ships an update every 27 months, NaroVPN fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
