# MangaToon vs DAYcomics

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MangaToon at 75% against DAYcomics's 25%. MangaToon also leads on rating (4.7 vs 3.1). DAYcomics's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MangaToon sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and DAYcomics sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MangaToon holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 10 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of MangaToon's written reviews are positive against 25% of DAYcomics's.

MangaToon ships an update every 3 weeks, DAYcomics every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
