# Writing Room vs Draftsmith

The clearest difference is rating: Writing Room at 4.8 against Draftsmith's 4.3. Writing Room also leads on ratings volume (149 vs 6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Writing Room sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $49.99 per month and Draftsmith sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
