# Tommo vs Tomato Timer ۬

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Tomato Timer ۬ at 189 against Tommo's 1. Tommo's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tommo sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Tomato Timer ۬ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tommo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tomato Timer ۬ has 189 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tommo ships an update every 8 days, Tomato Timer ۬ every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
