# TingYue vs 背点单词

The clearest difference is rating: 背点单词 at 5.0 against TingYue's 4.5. 背点单词 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). TingYue's advantage is ratings volume (413 vs 2) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TingYue sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and 背点单词 sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

背点单词 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TingYue has 413 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 66% and 67% positive.

TingYue ships an update every 4 days, 背点单词 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
