# Goalday vs Planbook

The clearest difference is rating: Planbook at 5.0 against Goalday's 4.6. Planbook also leads on review sentiment (98% vs 72%) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). Goalday's advantage is ratings volume (27 vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Goalday sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Planbook sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Planbook holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Goalday has 27 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 72% of Goalday's written reviews are positive against 98% of Planbook's.

Goalday ships an update every 2 weeks, Planbook every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
