# LectMate vs LecSync

The clearest difference is rating: LectMate at 4.8 against LecSync's 4.2. LectMate also leads on ratings volume (665 vs 5). LecSync's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 30%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LectMate sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and LecSync sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $39.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LectMate holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LectMate has 665 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of LectMate's written reviews are positive against 71% of LecSync's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LectMate ships an update every 3 weeks, LecSync every 9 days. Both last shipped on September 30, 2026.
