# LockMe vs Digital Detox

The clearest difference is monetization model: Digital Detox at freemium against LockMe's subscription. Digital Detox also leads on review sentiment (64% vs 47%). LockMe's advantage is ratings volume (229 vs 15). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LockMe sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Digital Detox sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for LockMe against 4.5 for Digital Detox. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LockMe has 229 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 47% of LockMe's written reviews are positive against 64% of Digital Detox's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
