# Murphy Connect vs RYOBI

The clearest difference is monetization model: Murphy Connect at free against RYOBI's free with in-app purchases. Murphy Connect also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). RYOBI's advantage is ratings volume (13K vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Murphy Connect holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RYOBI has 13K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Murphy Connect ships an update every 3 months, RYOBI fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
