# SSAT VerbalPro vs SSAT Prep

The clearest difference is rating: SSAT Prep at 5.0 against SSAT VerbalPro's 4.1. SSAT Prep also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months). SSAT VerbalPro's advantage is ratings volume (20 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SSAT VerbalPro sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and SSAT Prep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SSAT Prep holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SSAT VerbalPro has 20 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SSAT VerbalPro ships an update every 2 months, SSAT Prep every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
