# Rowing in Motion vs Rowly

The clearest difference is update cadence: Rowly at weekly against Rowing in Motion's fortnightly. Rowing in Motion's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rowing in Motion sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per month and Rowly sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rowing in Motion ships an update fortnightly, Rowly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
