# Aircrew Tools vs Pilot Logbook

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pilot Logbook at every 5 days against Aircrew Tools's every 2 weeks. Pilot Logbook also leads on ratings volume (20 vs 3). Aircrew Tools's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aircrew Tools sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $12.99 per year and Pilot Logbook sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aircrew Tools holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pilot Logbook has 20 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Aircrew Tools ships an update every 2 weeks, Pilot Logbook every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
